Reflection on CCA - 29/1

Today, all groups presented their findings on Chinese New Year. I only discovered now that Buddhist will choose not to eat meat on the 1st and the 7th day of Chinese New Year. I also know that the 7th day of Chinese New Year is a special day for the farmers, and the Chinese will also toss the 'yusheng' on the 7th day of Chinese New Year too. The session today is fun as the some of the presenters from other groups make us laugh by speaking some funny stuffs. I hope that there will be more sessions like this.

Reflection on trip to the Peranakan Museum - 4/9

On the last day of the term, 4th of September, our club went to the Peranalan Museum. When I was there, I feel excited and I wanted to know more about the culture of the Peranakans, but it was too harsh and we do not have time to look at all exhibits in the museum. It is still worthful trip as it has help me learn more about the culture of the Peranakans. If we have time go there again, I think that we can have a quiz or other activities so it can help remember what we saw there better. We can also go to the National Museum of Singapore to learn about the history of Singapore through the artefacts and other things there.

I feel that ALCC will let me know more about what is happening in Singapore through some of the project and also culture in Asian through some of the activities. I feel that the club can also have more activities so we can have some fun. The club can also try to bring us to other countries to learn.
